SEPT. 15-16 (1956) SAT.-SUN. SIERRA PEAKS
Mt. Silliman (12,268): This picturesque summit offers scenic views of the Great Western Divide, the Kaweah Peaks and the Sierra Crest. Meet at Lodgepole Campground near Giant Forest in Sequoia National Park at 7:00 a.m. Sat. Backpack approximately 6¾ miles to camp at Twin Lakes (9,375'); water and wood plentiful. Early Sun. climb Silliman via trailless route and return to Lodgepole. Driving: 460 miles. Leader: FRANK BRESSEL. Asst.: PAT MEIXNER.
